Sefine Shipyard announces the successful first steel cutting ceremony of newly built vessel NB68

Sefine Shipyard has announced that the company has reached an important milestone with the successful first steel-cutting ceremony of its newly built vessel NB68.

The Cable Lay Support Vessel (CLSV) is designed for cable/fiber cable laying, trenching, inspection, and repair as well as offering a flexible platform for support operations in the ocean windfarm industry. The support operations can include Walk-to-Work (W2W), maintenance, inspections, ROV services, and others. The CLSV is a dual-fuel diesel/methanol electric-driven vessel with a battery package for safe, environmental, and economic operation. 

The vessel will be designed by NSK Ship Design and is set to be delivered in the first half 2025.

 Power: 2 x ABC 8 DZD MeOH 1500 ekW x 900 rpm - 2 x ABC 8 DZD Diesel 1500 eKW x 900 rpm and Batteries. 

Propulsion: 2 x Kongsberg AZP100 PM-L FP – 2200 kW x 0-556 rpm

                    1 x Kongsberg TCNS 75 FP – 1100 kW x 0-985 rpm

                    2 x Kongsberg TT 2200 DPN FP -1000 kW-305 rpm

Crane capacity: 70 Tonnes (AHC)
